Localisation

Mellel Mellel is possibly the most localised shareware product for Mac OS X (and possibly elsewhere, too). It is fully localised for over 17 languages!

How to download and activate a localised version?
Mellel comes with all the localisations already built into it. To run Mellel localised for your language, simply download Mellel from our download page, and run it.
(note: you'll need to move your preferred language to the top of the languages list in Mac OS X System Preferences).

What languages are supported?
Mellel has a localised version for the following languages:

  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • English
  • Esperanto
  • Greek
  • French
  • German
  • Hebrew
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Romanian
  • Russian
  • Serbian
  • Spanish
  • Swedish

Help us to Localise Mellel for your Language

There are several ways in which you can help us localise Mellel: by helping us "finish up" some language versions that got left behind; or by helping us create a new localisation for Mellel in your own language.

Following are several localisations that are partially localised (i.g., 80 percent localised or more):

  • Hungarian
  • Norwegian (Bokmal and Nynorsk versions)
  • Polish

There are also other languages which 'desperately' need a localisation. For example:

  • Chinese
  • Korean
  • Finnish
  • Yiddish
  • And so on...

If you're interested in localising Mellel to any of those languages (or others), please write to us. Please note though: localisers will gain glory, honour, appreciation, and two free licenses to Mellel (which will be extended automatically), but localisation is based, for the time being, on volunteer work...
