Mellel 3.3.6 is Here!

Mellel 3.3.6 is Here!

Well, those pesky bugs finally extinguished, we hope. An important release to all those who suffered from a strange behaviour with the previous release.

Here’s a link to downloading the new version (if you prefer this to updating from within Mellel — if you’ve purchased Mellel via the Mac App Store, update from there).

Here are the changes:

  • Added support for Traditional Chinese DOS encoding. This fixes an issue that caused some styled Chinese text to become garbled when pasting from scrivener
  • Fixes an issue which caused a mysterious “systemParStyle” paragraph style to appear in the paragraph style list after setting the style to a paragraph containing a citation or hyperlink
  • Fixes an issue that caused crashes and all sorts of odd behaviour when editing and saving documents that contained empty citations and hyperlinks
  • Fixed an issue that would cause crashes and other misbehaviour when editing around inlines that contained track changes while the annotations pane was open

Enjoy,

  3. I’ve also replied via email, but here’s the answer here too, on how to get through this problem (with is one of file types in your OS):
    A. Select any Mellel file.
    B. Choose File > Get Info… And in the Info dialogue set Open with: to Mellel, and click the Change All… button, so that all Mellel documents will be opened by Mellel.
