What are Text Boxes?
Text boxes are document elements that allow you to enter text inside a rectangle box. The box can be styled and positioned in various options to allow greater flexibility for creating unique headings, emphasized paragraphs, and so on.
Text boxes in Mellel can be placed as either an inline or a floating object, which dictates how they are laid out in relation to other document elements. An inline text box is positioned relative to the text, while a floating text box is positioned relative to the page. The following figure depicts an inline text box. You can see that it is positioned after the word put and before the word hearted:
This image, on the other hand, shows a floating text box. You can see that it is positioned in a certain area of the page, regardless of other document elements:
Both inline and floating text boxes can be set so that surrounding text is wrapped around them, as depicted in the following figure:
